Chya Chyi a.k.a CC, 1990 Terengganu-born, KL-raised illustrator finds that narrative art connects her to herself and to her audience. In her creative process, she likes to add a touch of humour to her work, sometimes she likes to portray the subject with an unconventional personality. She believes it is meaningful when her work imparts a sense of belonging through tiny thoughts that happen in everyday life.
After several years working in advertising agencies, she runs her home studio, CC Studio that is driven by the pursuit of creating difference experience and solution via visual and illustration. Besides, together with two friends, she co-founded a zine brand named Bang Bang Zine, as well as a Risograph print studio in Kuala Lumpur. Currently, she tends to turn her artistic practice into making zines while at the same time experimenting with Risograph printing.
